Day 1 – Arrival at Skukuza Airport & Safari to Berg-en-Dal

Your safari begins the moment you arrive at Skukuza Airport, conveniently located inside Kruger National Park. Hennie will personally welcome you before your first private game drive begins straight from the airport.

Travelling through the wildlife-rich southern region of the park, you'll make your way to Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp, renowned for its scenic granite hills, white rhino, leopard, and exceptional biodiversity. After settling into your carefully selected accommodation, relax around the fire and enjoy a traditional South African braai under the stars.

 

Day 2 – Exploring Berg-en-Dal

Spend a full day exploring the diverse habitats surrounding Berg-en-Dal. Granite outcrops, mixed woodland, and river systems provide excellent opportunities to encounter the Big Five, African wild dog, numerous antelope species, and an impressive variety of birdlife.

 

Day 3 – Journey to Satara

After an early morning game drive, you'll travel north through the heart of Kruger National Park to Satara Rest Camp. This scenic drive becomes part of the safari itself, as you explore new habitats and landscapes while searching for wildlife along the way.

Satara is internationally recognised as one of the best areas in Africa to see large predators. Its open grasslands support healthy populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and large herds of plains game, creating exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

 

Day 4 – Exploring the Satara Region

Spend the day exploring the famous Satara area, following fresh tracks and adapting each game drive to recent wildlife activity. The contrasting landscapes and ecosystems provide a completely different safari experience, increasing your chances of encountering a wide variety of mammals, birds, and unforgettable wildlife behaviour.

 

Day 5 – Final Morning Safari & Departure

Enjoy one final sunrise game drive before making your way back through Kruger National Park to Skukuza Airport. Even on your departure day, there is always the possibility of one last memorable sighting before saying goodbye to the African bush.
